Welcome to the wonderful world of Foster Fischer and Simmonds LLP events where life is lived in a world without windows and WhatsApp chat groups. The in-house events team, led by the unflappable and heroic Emma, is organising the jewel in the crown of the events calendar, the Annual New Partner Celebration. Perfection at every turn is the only way forward as Emma’s key business stakeholder, Anna Ferguson, has ambitions not just for a celebration to remember, but also for her own centre stage performance.
After months of planning, tears, tantrums, never-ending scope changes, long days and nights, crazy requests and back-stabbing colleagues, the team finally arrive at the venue in Rome to set up. They are aided and abetted by external agency Magical! Productions and their account director Flo, as well as the dubiously helpful Harriet from venue sourcing and outsource events partner, DDT.
It’s problem solving on steroids as Emma looks to go over, under, round or through anything in her path on the final push to ‘go live’. Failure is not an option; her professional life depends on it.
